NATURAL RESERVES

 

Hola! En este blog vamos a hablar de tres paisajes naturales situados en Andalucía:

 

EL PEÑÓN DE ZAFRAMAGÓN

 

Es una formación rocosa de caliza situada en la RESERVA NATURAL DEL PEÑÓN DE ZAFRAMAGÓN, en el límite de estas dos provincias andaluzas: Sevilla (Coripe) y Cádiz (Olvera). La Garganta del Estrechón, que está profundizada por el río Guadalporcún, es uno de los elementos más significativos del Peñón.

 

The Peñón de Zaframagón is a rock formation situated in the Natural Reserve of El Peñón de Zaframagón, on the border of Seville (Coripe) and Cadiz (Olvera). La Garganta del Estrechón, deepened by the river Guadalporcún, is one of the most significant elements of it.

Se puede llegar a este lugar en coche o en autobús. Las distancias de Córdoba al Peñón son las siguientes:

1. Por la A-4 158 km, 2 h 15 min

2. Por la A-45 y A-384 191 km, 2 h y 24 min

3. Por la A-384 178 km, 2 h y 30 min

 

HOSTAL O CASA RURAL DONDE ALOJARSE:

 

-  Casa alojamiento Rural el Prado: Tiene 2 habitaciones dobles, precio estimado 24 euros por persona, en plena sierra de Cádiz, próxima al Peñón. Es un buen sitio rural donde pasar los días y el precio es absequible.

 

It has two doubled room and it costs around 24 euros, so it is not expensive enough. It´s near the Peñón and it´s a good place to spend the days for visiting the Natural Reserve and for doing rutes.

LA GARGANTA VERDE

La Garganta Verde es un cañón que ha sido excavado por el Arroyo del Pinar. Está situada en el Parque de la Sierra de Grazalema (Cádiz). Se llama así por la frondosa vegetación que recubre sus paredes. En la profundidad de la garganta puede percibirse la Cueva de la Ermita.

 

The Garganta Verde is a canyon that has been carved by the Arroyo del Pinar. It is situated in the Park of the Sierra de Grazalema (Cádiz). The reason why it is called in that way is because of the lush vegetation that covers its walls. Deep in the throat you can see the Cave of the Hermitage.

A este lugar se puede llegar en coche o en autobús. Las distancias de Córdoba a la Garganta son las siguientes:

1. Por la A-4 y A- 384, 167 km, 2 h y 9 min

2. Por la A-4, 176 km, 2 h y 16 min

3. Por la A-45 y A-384, 199 km, 2 h y 18 min

 

HOSTAL DONDE ALOJARSE:

 

- Albergue de Cádiz Cadi Backpackers: Calle Soledad ,4. Está ubicado en un sitio ideal de la ciudad donde puedes visitar todos los puntos de interés y hacer rutas sin necesidad de utilizar vehículos. Precio absequible desde 20 euros.

 

It's located in a perfect place of the city so you can visit all the meeting points and famous places there and you can also do rutes and you don´t have to use vehicles for doing the rutes. The price is really interesting, only 20 euros the night.

CORTES DE LA FRONTERA

 

Municipio de la Provincia de Málaga, en el valle del Guadiaro, siendo una de las poblaciones que constituyen la comarca de la Serranía de Ronda.

 

Cortes de la Frontera is a municipality of Málaga, in the valley of Guadiaro, and it is one of the populations that makes up the region of the Serrania de Ronda.

 

 

Se puede llegar a la Frontera desde Córdoba en coche o en autobús. Las distancias son las siguientes:

1. Por la A-4, 192 km, 2 h y 42 min

2. Por la A-4, 222 km, 2 h y 58 min

 

 

HOSTAL DONDE ALOJARSE:

 

- Albergue inturjoven cortes de la frontera:  Ubicado a las afueras de la ciudad, en el Paque Natural de los Alcornocales, con un clima suave y cómodo y con un precio absequible desde 16 euros.

 

It's situated in Natural Park of Alcornocales, with a  warm and comfortable climate. The price is quite cheap, only 16 euros the night.

This three natural reserves have something in common: the GRIFFON VULTURE live in all of them.

MAGIC STORY

COMENTARIO DEL POEMA VINDICTIVE:

Este poema habla tanto del presente como del futuro. Falta una pieza clave en el poema: el narrador, porque se trata de un poema medieval y en ellos nunca se mostraba el autor. El posible narrador puede ser Merlín, mientras que el protagonista es el Rey Arturo.


El título eros-ionado tiene un significado bastante importante, y es que relaciona el paso de tiempo que nos envejece, erosionándonos, y concluyendo con la muerte. 
 
 Ávalon es una isla legendaria de las Islas Británicas, donde, según la leyenda, habitan nueve reinas hadas; entre ellas, Morgana, que es medio-hermana de Arturo y una bruja muy poderosa; y donde los manzanos dan frutas jugosas durante todo el año.


El Santo Grial es una copa de la que bebió Jesús en la Ultima Cena, la cual se dice que tenía poderes mágicos curativos y regenerativos y se manifestaban dichos poderes si bebías de ella. La leyenda se centra en la búsqueda de esta copa, donde Merlín encomienda a Arturo la tarea de buscarla, y el rey manda a sus caballeros para que la encuentren.


Mordred es el hijo incestuoso (ilegítimo) del Rey Arturo y Morgause. El rey lo deja a cargo del trono para ir a luchar contra el emperador de Roma. Durante su ausencia, Mordred se corona a sí mismo y se casa con Ginebra, que es la esposa de Arturo, lo que obliga al rey a regresar. Ambos se enfrentan combatiendo en la batalla de Camlann, y Mordred muere, mientras que Arturo, muy herido, es llevado a Ávalon junto a su hermana Morgana.

The poem talks about the present and the future. In that poem lacks a very important thing: the narrator, because it's a medieval poem and this type of poems haven't got author. The "speaker" could be Merlin, and the protagonist is the King Arthur.

The title eros-ionado has a very important meaning: we are getting older while the time passes and we are all going to die.


Ávalon is the name of a legendary mithologic island, where it is said that there are apples treets with sweety fruits and also live nine fairy queens there, among them Morgana, the sister of the king Arthur and a very powerful witch.


The Holy Grail is the cup which Jesus drank in the Last Supper. It is said that it is very powerful and it has  regenerative and healing magical powers. The leyend is about the search of this cup. Merlin ask the king Arthur to find it with his men.

Mordred is the incestuous son (illegitimate) of King Arthur and Morgause. The king leaves Mordred his throne for a short period of time because he had to leave the castle to fight against the emperor of Rome. Mordred crowns himself king and get marries to Guinevere, Arthur's wife, so the king returns. They face in the Battle of Camlann, Mordred dies and Arthur is wounded, and he went to Ávalon with her sister Morgana.

ODD SPORT

CHESS BOXING

Hola! Vamos a hablar de un deporte poco conocido: el CHESS BOXING o ajedrez de boxeo. Se trata de un deporte híbrido porque alterna el ajedrez y el boxeo. Fue imaginado por primera vez en 1992 por un dibujante de cómics llamado Enki Bilal y fue llevado a la práctica durante la primavera de 2003.
Hay un encuentro entre 2 oponentes con 11 rounds en total, con una pausa de un minuto entre cada round, en la que los competidores se cambian de vestimenta. En los 11 rounds se van combinando el ajedrez y el boxeo, donde empieza primero con 4 minutos de ajedrez y seguido por 3 minutos de boxeo.

La especialidad de ajedrez es la llamada BLITZ (ajedrez rápido). En el deporte, el término DRAW significa empate.

El color de los guantes que se utilizan en el boxeo es rojo y negro.
El primer campeonato del mundo fue en Ámsterdam en el 2003, y el campeón fue Iepe Rubingh. El primer campeonato europeo de CHESS BOXING tuvo lugar en Berlín en 2005, donde el bulgarés Tihomir Titschko derrotó al alemán Andreas Schneider.

Hi! I'm going to talk about a strange sport: the CHESS BOXING, which is a sport that mixes chess and boxeo. There are two oponents in that sport and 11 rounds in total. Between each round there is a break of one minute and the players change their clothes. In the rounds there is an alternance between boxeo and chess. Firstly, the players play 4 minutes of dress and then 3 minutes of boxeo.

The modality of this sport is the BLITZ. The word DRAW means empate in Spanish, and it is when all the players get the same points in dress.

The colours of the gloves that the concursants use to play boxeo are red and black.

The first world championship took place in Ámsterdam in 2003, and the winner was Iepe Rubingh.
The first european championship of CHESS BOXING took place in Berlín in 2005, where Tihomir Titschko defeated the player Andreas Schneider.

DOUBLE MEANING

MATTERS

Hola! Pienso que se ha sustituido INTEGRATING PROJECT por INTEGRATING MATTERS porque MATTERS es una palabra que tiene un doble significado:

- Utiliza ese término porque es una asignatura que engloba distintos temas o materias, ya que se trata de una multiasignatura.
- También funciona como verbo y significa IMPORTAR. Tiene sentido que haya utilizado este término para nombrar esta asignatura ya que es muy importante.

Hi! I think that the name of our subject has been modified and now it is called INTEGRATING MATTERS because the word MATTERS have two different meanings:

- Because Integrating Project is a multisubject and it is about different subjects, topics...
- Because MATTER also means "import". It makes sense because that subject is very important for us.

PARADISE

EL RÍO OKAVANGO

El Río Okavango es un largo río africano que nace en Angola, en la meseta de Bié. Tiene una longitud de unos 1700 km y tras recorrer los primeros 1000 km penetra en una cuenca endorreica (no tiene desagüe al mar) formando una extensa región aluvial conocida como el Delta del Okavango. Es un delta poco usual, porque el río no desemboca en el mar, sino que es absorbido por el desierto Kalahari y se desconoce su paradero final.
                        

Se trata de un río alóctono (aquel que proviene de fuera del espacio geográfico del que se habla y que desemboca en un clima muy árido).

Otra característica propia de este río es que no es recto como suelen ser la mayoría, sino que su recorrido está totalmente lleno de curvas.

La fauna en este lugar es muy variada; puedes encontrar animales como rinocerontes, guepardos, búfalos negros, elefantes, el búho pescador común o los leones, que destacan por su fuerza y tamaño y porque son los únicos leones nadadores.

The Okavango River is an African river which originates in the plateau Bié (Angola). It has got a length of 1700 km and it enters in a basin, forming a large flooded region, known as the Okavango's delta. It is an unusal delta, because the river doesn't flow into the sea. When it reaches the basin, it is absorbed by the Kalahari Desert and we can´t see where it ends.

It's an allochthonous river for two reasons: it hasn't been originated in the place it is situated now and it leads to an area with an arid climate.

This river is so special because it doesn't follow a straight path as the majority of the rivers and his route is totally full of curves.

 

The wildlife in this place is amazing. You can find an ample variety of animals here, such us rhinos, cheetahs, black buffalos, elephants, the pel's fishing owl or lions. Okavango's lions are famous here because there are the only population of swimmer lions in the world.

FALTA DE VOLUNTAD

LA PIEDRA Y SU FUERZA DE VOLUNTAD


Hola! Vamos a hablar de un fragmento de una película llamada EL POR QUÉ DE LAS COSAS. Aquí os dejo el fragmento para que entendáis de qué voy a hablar:

Hello! I'm going to talk about a part of a film which is called EL POR QUÉ DE LAS COSAS. You can see this part here so you can understand the context of this post:



En este fragmento podemos observar a un hombre y a una piedra que simboliza a un bebé y el protagonista es como si fuera el padre de éste. El hombre trata de convencer a la piedra para que
hable, para que diga una simple sílaba, para que diga PA. Tras mucho empeño, el hombre se da por vencido ya que las rocas no hablan y nunca dirá lo que él quiere escuchar. Al final de la escena, el hombre, al no conseguir su objetivo, está muy defraudado, y decide lanzarla lejos con todas sus ganas para deshacerse de ella. Cuando la piedra aterriza, el impacto es tan fuerte que hace que produzca el sonido PA, pero el protagonista no sabrá nunca que la piedra habló porque ya se ha deshecho de ella.



Con la roca se realiza una comparación con el comportamiento de las personas, ya que refleja la falta de voluntad que tenemos por hacer las cosas y por aprender y nosotros no nos damos cuenta de que con un poco de voluntad e interés por hacer las cosas bien podríamos dar un giro en nuestra vida y mover el mundo.

 In that part of the film you can see a man with a stone. The stone represents a baby and the protagonist of the film is his dad. The man tries to show how to say PA to the stone, but it is impossible because stones don´t talk. Days come over and the man doesn´t achieve his aim, so he is frustrated and he decides to push it far away. When the stone lands, the impact with the floor is so strong that makes the sound PA.


 There is a comparison between the stone and the behaviour of the people, because the stone represents the lack of determination for doing things and for learning. We don`t notice the fact that if we put a bit more of willpower in our lives, we will be better and we could change the world.

Esta canción se llama "Demons" y es cantada por el grupo IMAGINE DRAGONS. Es mi canción preferida porque el cantante dice que las miradas de la gente son muy importantes, cosa con la que estoy muy de acuerdo; y también me gusta porque él piensa que es un hombre malo y tiene miedo de que sus defectos puedan alejar a la persona a la que quiere.

 

This song is called "Demons" and it is sung by the group IMAGINE DRAGONS. It's my favourite song because it says that the looks of the people are very important and he also says that he thinks that he is a bad man and he is afraid of that his faults could remove the person he loves.

 

 

MI VERSO FAVORITO

Mi verso favorito de la canción es el siguiente: " cuando sientas mi calor, mira a mis ojos que es donde se esconden mis demonios". Es una frase extraña y puede pareceros que no tenga mucho sentido, pero yo pienso que el cantante utiliza a los demonios como metáfora para expresar sus vicios y el sufrimiento y odio que lleva dentro de él, y que no puede escapar de todas esas cosas malas quedando "atrapado" por ellas.

 

My favourite verse of the song is this one: "when you feel my heat, look into my eyes, it's where my demons hide". It's an strange sentence and you can think that it has no sense, but in my opinion I believe that this verse means that the singer uses the demons to describe his suffering, his hatred, his vices,and he can't go out of them, he feels caught by those bad things.

IMAGINE DRAGONS es el nombre del grupo. Está formado por 4 cantantes americanos. El nombre original de la banda es "Ragged Insomnia". El nombre del cantante principal es Dan Reynolds, nació en 1978 en Las Vegas y empezó a cantar en algunos eventos en 1999. Los otros miembros de la banda tocan la guitarra y la batería.
